Scope and Contents

Contains journals and materials regarding the missionary service of Delbert Stevenson Walker, who focuses on church organization and spiritual experiences in addition to cultural observations. Included microfilm contains research and correspondence by Richard H. Bullock regarding various Mormon pioneers. Also contains family correspondence, dating between 1886 and 1908, and a CD with additional materials about other family members' missionary service for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Biographical History

Delbert Stevenson Walker was a Latter-day Saint farmer and missionary. Delbert Stevenson Walker was born on September 11, 1903 in Holladay, Utah to parents Franklin Walker and Harriett Louisa Stevenson. Delbert Stevenson Walker served as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in New Zealand from 1926 to 1930. He married Geneve Cutler on June 1, 1932 in Salt Lake City, Utah. They had six children together. Walker lived in Boise, Idaho for a short time before moving to Tremonton, Utah, where he owned and operated a farm and served in various church positions. Delbert Stevenson Walker died on August 19, 1987 in Tremonton, Utah.

Richard H. Bullock is a researcher, historian, and author from Utah. Richard Henry Bullock was born on October 13, 1940. He is married to Erma R. Bullock. He is the author of several historical books and serves as President of the Utah Chapter of the Ship Brooklyn Association. His research focuses on Mormon pioneers and their early history in various Western settlements. Richard H. Bullock currently resides in Utah.
