Photocopy of a four-page letter from Albert Gallatin Fellows to his cousin Chester Fellows. Albert is writing from Salt Lake City, Utah, in response to a letter from Chester. He shares his experiences since joining the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Michigan, moving to Nauvoo, and eventually emigrating to Utah. He spends the majority of the letter sharing his beliefs in the Church. Dated June 19, 1851.

Biographical History

Albert Gallatin Fellows was born September 5, 1799 in Huntington Mills, Pennsylvania, to James Fellows and Phoebe Leonard. He became a farmer and was married three times. He was an early member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, joining in Michigan, moving to Nauvoo, and eventually emigrating to St. George, Utah. Albert died March 2, 1880 in Saint George, Utah.
