Rosanne Keeler collection of Utah pioneer interview transcriptions
Content Description
Interview transcriptions by Keeler of Utah pioneers, typed transcriptions of which were found on microfilm in Special Collections. Includes a list of interview questions. Interviews were done as part of a Works Project Administration (WPA) project for the Utah History Records Survey of 1936.
Most interviews were by Keeler's grandmother, Mary Lyman Reeve. Interviewees include: Nathan Bradley Badger, Ellen Bird, Isabel King Rogers, Willis Eugene Robison, Nicholus Gurley Teeples, George Theobald, Melissa Ann Davis Trimble, Elizabeth Staheli Waliker, Christinia Oleson Warnick, and Mary Jane Perkins Wilson (not interviewed by Reeves, but a family relation to Keeler). Interviewees were born between the 1840s and 1860s. Most interviewees were from Millard County, Utah, and lived in cities such as Hinckley, Fillmore, Holden, and Delta. Mary Jane Perkins Wilson lived in Monticello, San Juan County, Utah. Interviews took place between 1936 and 1937.
Transcriptions from the microfilm were created in Microsoft Word by Keeler between 2016 and 2017, then downloaded and printed in May 2017.

Biographical History
Mary Lyman Reeve (1882-1959) was an LDS schoolteacher in San Juan County, Utah.
Mary Lyman Reeve was born August 3, 1882 in Bluff, San Juan County, Utah to Platte DeAlton Lyman and Adelia Robison. She attended the Brigham Young Academy in the winter of 1900-1901 but had to take time off in 1902 because of a very serious fever. Once recovered, she recommenced at the academy to study nursing. She came back to Bluff to work as the Postmaster there from 1905-1913, during which time she also taught school in Grayson, Utah from 1909-1911. In 1913 she was called to serve a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. A year after she returned, she was introduced to John Reeve and married him on May 18, 1915. She had been told that because of her fever in 1902, she would be unable to have children, but she had five with John. Mary died at the age of 77 in Salt Lake City on the 6th of November, 1959.

Rosanne Keeler (1952- ) is a family historian living in Utah.
Rosanne Reeve Keeler was born July 1, 1952 to Grant Lyman Reeve and Lola Dawn Wright. Keeler and her siblings grew up in Salt Lake City, Utah and Fremont, California where she graduated a member of the John F Kennedy High School Class of 1970. Rosanne married Lynn Owen Keeler and moved to Riverside, CA. Since then she has moved to Rhode Island and then to Utah County where she currently resides.

Donated on April 26, 2017 by Rosanne Keeler, who transcribed the interviews from microfilms found in BYUI special collections. Most of the interviews were conducted by Keeler's grandmother, Mary Lyman Reeve.
