Biographical History

Betty Eames Brown (1924-2007) was a mother and a patron of the arts in Missouri.

Betty Eames Brown was born on June 29, 1924 to William Henrey and Eloise Lowder Eames in Ogden Utah. She had three sisters and grew up in Ogden. She was married on July 26, 1944 to Herbert Ensign Brown and had two children. Herbert and Betty moved to Columbia in 1956 where Herbert taught at the University of Missouri. She worked as an Administrative Assistant to the Dean of the Biological Sciences Divison at the University of Missouri. She also was a docent at the Museum of Art and Archeology at the University. In addition, Betty had multiple church assignments for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she taught primary, sunday school and Relief Society. Betty died December 26, 2007 of a stroke.
