Scope and Contents
Contains letters from William Abplanlp while he was serving his mission in Germany and Switzerland. Correspondences are between William and various family members including: his parents, his brother Pete, a cousin serving a mission in Colorado, his sister Mary, and other relatives. The letters from William relate his experiences on his mission as well as his love for those back at home. Letters addressed to William share stories of home life as well as current events of the time. Letters are dated 1906-1909.

William Abplanalp was born on February 19, 1878 in Midway, Utah to parents Peter and Margaretha Eggler Abplanalp. He married Barbara Elizabeth Jenkins on September 5, 1899 in Vernal, Utah. Together they had seven children.
William served a mission in Germany and Switzerland from 1906-1909.
He passed away on March 21, 1961 in Roosevelt, Utah where he is buried.
