Chester L. McDonald (1940-2003) was an autograph collector in Massachusetts.

Biographical History

Thomas B. Costain (1885-1965) was a Canadian-born writer and editor.

Thomas Bertram Contain was born on May 8, 1885 in Brantford, Ontario to John Herbert Costain and Mary Schultz. In 1902 he sold a mystery story to the Brantford Courier, and began working there as a reporter. He moved to the Guelph Daily Mercury in 1908, where he worked as editor until 1910. Costain married Ida Randolph Spragge in 1910, and they had two daughters. He later worked as the fiction editor for The Saturday Evening Post for fourteen years.

Costain's first novel was published in 1942. He eventually wrote twelve novels and seven non-fiction books, four of which were produced as motion pictures. Costain died on October 8, 1965 in New York, New York.
