Biographical History

Vondell A. Painter (1919-2003) was a steelworker and family historian in Utah.

Vondell Aaron Painter was born May 13, 1919 in Payson, Utah to Frank Nelson Painter and Emma Agusta Peterson. He married Louise June Kelley July 2, 1938 in Santaquin, Utah. They were the parents of three children, Sherry, Marilyn, and Barbara. Vondell worked for U.S. Steel for fourteen years. After the death of Louise, Vondell married Margaret Mitchel Simmons on September 23, 1978. After retiring from U.S. Steel Vondell and Margaret moved to Saint George, Utah. Painter passed away on October 2, 2003 in Saint George, Utah.
