Biographical History
Karl Gottfried Brunotte (born 1958) is a composer and music philosopher in Germany, predominantly known for his contributions to religious music.
Karl Gottfried Brunotte was born in Frankfurt, Germany, in 1958. His music studies consisted of not only an assortment of instruments, but music sociology, music psychology, ancient languages, aesthetics, conducting, composition, and electronic music.
In 1987 Brunotte joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and in his lifetime has composed nearly three hundred pieces for a wide range of instruments.
Brunotte has held lecturer positions at Hochschule für Music und darstellende Kunst and the International Vacation Courses for New Music in Darmstadt. Since 1993 Brunotte has worked at the University of Frankfurt as well as the Fachhochschule Frankfurt für elektronische Music.
