Administrative History

The Primrose International Viola Competition was first started in 1979, and is an international competition dedicated to promoting William Primrose's vision of furthering artistic excellence in viola performance.

The Primrose Competition is part of the American Viola Society, and available to Viola artists under the age of thirty. It offers cash prizes as well as instruments, and performance opportunities.
