Administrative History

The Utah Valley Chamber of Commerce (2009- ) strives to make Utah Valley a good place for business and economic growth.

The Utah Valley Chamber of Commerce was founded in 2009, when the Provo/Orem Chamber of Commerce was renamed. The organization encourages economic, social, and political growth by supporting and incentivizing business owners, promoting educational programs for citizens, and encouraging public policy changes that will increase the standard of living in Utah Valley.

Administrative History

The Provo/Orem Chamber of Commerce (1985-2009) promoted the growth of business in Provo and Orem.

The Provo/Orem Chamber of Commerce was established in 1985 when the Provo Chamber of Commerce and the Orem Chamber of Commerce merged. The merger was conducted to better promote the growth of businesses in the Provo and Orem areas. The Chamber was renamed the Utah Valley Chamber of Commerce in 2009 to encourage businesses outside of the Provo/Orem area to join and promote unity and networking throughout the county.

The Provo Chamber of Commerce (1887-1985) promoted the business opportunities available in Provo.

The Provo Chamber of Commerce was established in September 1887 by prominent members of the community. The purpose of establishing a Chamber of Commerce was to make the world aware of the advantages and resources available in Provo. In 1985 the Provo Chamber of Commerce joined with the Orem Chamber of Commerce to form the Provo/Orem Chamber of Commerce.

The Orem Chamber of Commerce (1924-1985) encouraged business growth and activity in Orem.

The Orem Chamber of Commerce was established in 1924 when the Provo Bench Commercial Club was renamed. The Chamber was to encourage business growth and promote activity within the business community. The Orem Chamber of Commerce joined with the Provo Chamber of Commerce in 1985 to form the Provo/Orem Chamber of Commerce.

The Provo Bench Commercial Club (1914-1924) was to promote business conditions in the Provo Bench area.

The Provo Bench Commercial Club was established in 1914 by residents in the Provo Bench area. The group was to promote the business conditions in the area. In 1924 the Club was renamed to the Orem Chamber of Commerce.
