Lynn Jay Olsen was born January 27, 1914 to James Andrew and Katie Christensen Olsen in Ephraim, Utah. His early years were spent herding sheep in the mountains with his family. Later, he attended Snow College where he played many sports. He became a soil scientist. He died April 17, 1981.
