Scope and Contents note

Collection consists of narratives and genealogies concerning the Warr, Tanner, and Carter families. Included are three scrapbooks containing newspaper clippings and genealogies. Included is a circa 1940 copy of Charles Dicken's "The Life of Our Lord." The collection dates from circa 1940 to 1993.

Biographical History

Helen Carter Warr was born 21 October 1908 in Greenville, Utah. She married Wilford A. Warr 25 January 1930. They owned and operated a large chicken farm in Draper, Utah. They did not have any children and Wilford died 26 April 1960. Helen was a deeply committed member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she served in many capacities and positions, including a full-time mission to Scotland, as a Salt Lake Temple worker, and as a Danish extractor in the Salt Lake City Park Stake. She was employed for ten years in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints' Church Historian Office in Salt Lake City. She also served as a secretary to the Tanner Family Reunion for many years. She died 25 June 2006.
