The Lynn Mowat papers consist of newspaper clippings relating to the success of Philo Farnsworth and the development of the television tube. The majority of the collection is correspondence between Lynn Mowat and one of his most devoted friends, George Everson. Everson was the vice president of Farnsworth Television Inc. and much of the correspondence relates to the financial and technical endeavors in perfecting the television tube. Information regarding Philo Farnworth is included.

Lynn Mowat was born 29 August 1894 in Oregon. He was a supporter of Philo Farnsworth and the development of the television and television tube. He was a highly favored friend of George Everson, the vice president of Farnsworth Television Inc. He died 9 July 1976.
