Lavon B. Jones wrote a biography of Henry Hamilton consisting of expounded upon journal entries of Hamilton. Henry Hamilton was born on 10 December 1831 in Scotland. It was there that he was baptized into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Hamilton immigrated to the United States and crossed the plains and arrived to Utah Valley. His Scottish heritage played a huge part of his life until his death in 1901.
