The personal history and patriarchal blessing relates Marguerite E. Kutter's feelings on being ill most of her life. She writes about her membership in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and how it influenced her life. She also writes about her family members. She especially writes about the feelings of alienation she felt due to her illness as a young girl and then how she tried to work to overcome her struggles later in life.

Biographical History

Marguerite Elise Kutter was born on 13 December 1919 in Portland, Oregon. She had arthritis which left her bedridden until she was thirty two. She then worked hard to manage to walk with the help of platform crutches. She died on 23 December 1982.
