Scope and Contents

Collection contains journals and family histories of members of the Jensen family, dating from between 1898 to 1988. Most of the diaries deal with missionary service for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Also includes information on family life in Idaho and genealogy.

Biographical History

The Jensen family was established by Louis Reuben Jensen (born 1865) and his wife Kirsten Marie Sorenson (1868-1973). They married in 1885 and had eleven children. Doyle S. Jensen (1890-1945) was one of their children. In 1914, he married Ruth Zimmerman, and they had ten children. Winston McKay Jensen was born to Doyle and Ruth Jensen in 1945.
