Scope and Contents

This collection contains 65 photographs and 102 negatives (and prints from those negatives) from William F. Hanson. Most of the photographs and negatives are duplicates of material found in the William F. Hanson Papers (MSS 229) and the William F. Hanson Collection (MSS 3340). The images are mainly of Indian opera productions composed by Hanson and of the Ute Indians of Colorado and Utah, as well as several photographs of William F. Hanson himself.

William F. Hanson was a specialist in music of the American Indians, a composer, and a teacher of music at Brigham Young University.
