Handwritten letter in pencil. The item was addressed to Martha's uncle, Harison Laurence, of Selma, Illinois, and was postmarked March 28 of an unspecified year. Martha writes about her trip by train to Utah. She gives her impression of seeing Mormon polygamists in a town six miles north of Salt Lake City, Utah.
