The Burton genealogy includes biographical information and sketches about James and Isabella Burton and their descendants. The Fielding family correspondence consists of photocopies of handwritten letters, most written while Joseph Fielding was serving as a missionary in England.

Biographical note

Arthur Fielding Burton apparently compiled these documents related to his paternal grandparents, James and Isabella Burton, and his maternal grandparents, Joseph and Hannah Fielding. Joseph Fielding served as president of the British Mission of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints from 1838 to 1840.
