Scope and Contents

Thomas Joseph Steed was born in April 1900 in Syracuse, Utah to Walter William and Susan Alice Bell Steed. He served in the Southern States Mission, where he served as a conference president in South Carolina. He married Ellen Louise Miller in 1928. He died in April 1989.

Biographical / Historical

The collection relates to the Southern States Mission, in which Steed served as a conference president in South Carolina. During this time the mission was presided over by Charles A. Callis, a future apostle of the LDS Church.
