Biographical / Historical

James M. Peterson Jr. (1879-1939) was a Mormon banker and politician from Richfield, Utah.

James M. Peterson Jr. was born on July 12, 1879, in Richfield, Utah, to James Morten Peterson and Laura Hansine Christine Hansen. He married Louisiana Carrie Heppler on November 18, 1903, in Salt Lake City, Utah, and they had ten children together. He took over his father's banking business after his death in 1899, becoming the manager of the James M. Peterson Bank. He also served four years on the city council of Richfield, Utah, and two years as mayor.

James M. Peterson Jr. died on July 7, 1939, in Salt Lake City, Utah.
