Biographical History

The Roylance name most likely comes from Ryland or Riland, which can be traced back to “Robert de Rilandes" during the time of King Henry 3rd (1216-1272). This particular branch of the Roylance family (or at least from the material) goes back to Thomas Roylance, about 1635 in Chesire, England.
