Biographical / Historical

Alvin Grabau Pack (1907-1994) was a pioneer in radio broadcasting. He worked primarily with the Salt Lake City stations KALL and KSLO. He created the first dramatized radio commercial, authored the first radio organizational manual, and directed the first television program telecast in Utah. Pack received one of five Iwo Jima medals for his contributions in radio during World War II.

Lena Marie Pack (1905-2000) assisted her husband, Alvin G. Pack, with ideas and radio program writing, as well as some vocal contributions to the radio programs.
