Record of stock certificates issued and canceled from the company's New York state office from Sept. 10, 1908 to July 30, 1909 (2 v.), and from Oct. 22, 1912 to Nov. 7, 1916 (2 v.). Collection also includes one Utah Copper Co. photograph album, circa 1910-1915.

Administrative History

The Utah Copper Co. was organized in 1903 by Daniel C. Jackling. It was one of the first endeavors to mine copper in Bingham Canyon, Utah. In 1910 it merged with Boston Consolidated Mining Company, and in 1936 was acquired by Kennecott Mines Company.

Custodial History

Donated by manuscript collector Brent Ashworth, to Brigham Young University in three installments 2000-2002. He acquired them from Niles Anderson (Beehive Collectors Gallery, Salt Lake City) and Richard Horsley (Pioneer Book, Provo).
