Biographical History

Lowell Eliason Call (1922-2005) was an United States Air Force Lt. Colonel and genealogist.

Lowell Eliason Call was born on February 18, 1922 in Bancroft, Idaho to Joseph C. and Myrtle E. Call. He worked through the Army Air Corps program and earned his silver wings in Feb. 1945, and later trained in Burbank, California. Call married Carolyn Johnson on Jan. 15, 1942 in Logan, UT, and the couple had eight children. He earned an undergraduate degree from Brigham Young University in Secondary Education and a Master's degree in Church Education. He served in the United States Air Force for 23 years; flying combat missions in the Korean and Vietnam wars, and teaching AFROTC at BYU and Oklahoma State University. Lowell developed an aviation science course at Orem High School, and taught for 11 years. Call collected countless amounts of history and genealogy work throughout his life, later donated to Brighan Young University.

Lowell E. Call died on February 14, 2005 at his home in Orem, Utah.

Biographical History

Joseph Clarence Call (1892-1975) was a electrical engineer, dry farmer and LDS Bishop in Bancroft, Idaho.

Joseph C. Call was born on Oct 18, 1892 in Chesterfield, Idaho to Ira Call and Emma Jane Barlow. Call served in the United States armed forces in World War I. He married Myrtle Elizabeth Eliason on October 10, 1917 in Salt Lake City, Utah. The couple had 5 children together, and worked as dry farmers on their land. Myrtle died on May 1, 1962. In 1964, Joseph married Anna Urilla Nelson in Logan, Utah. Joseph Call served as LDS bishop for the Bancroft ward for 14 years, and became the Idaho Stake Patriarch in 1951. Call died on October 25, 1975 at his home in Bancroft, Idaho.
