Biographical History
Philip Yordan (1914-2003) was an American screenwriter.
Philip Yordan was born on April 1, 1914. He earned a Bachelor's degree at University of Illinois, and a law degree at Chicago-Kent College of Law. He became a screenwriter and wrote films such as The Chase, Whistle Stop, Houdini, The Bravados, Broken Lance, and God's Little Acre, among others. In 1951 he was nominated for an Academy Award for Detective Story, and won an Academy Award for Broken Lance in 1954. He died on March 24, 2003.

Sunset Films (1976-1979) produced the motion picture Brigham.
Sunset Films was organized in 1976 for the purpose of producing the motion picture Brigham. After production and distribution of the film, the company was dissolved in 1979.

Materials passed into the possession of various members of the production company, Sunset Films, who in turn donated them to Brigham Young University. Includes material donated by David Yeaman in 1977, and by Lincoln Dastrup in 1978. Photographs were separated to the Photograph Archives.
