Waldemar T. Nelson papers

 Collection — Multiple Containers
Identifier: MSS 2168

Scope and Contents note

This collection consists of seven day books and personal records of Waldemar T. Nelson containing chronological entries dating from January 1, 1885 to February 18, 1913, although there are a number of gaps. Each volume has the dates recorded on the cover, presumably added by a descendant. The entries generally record the daily activities of a farmer in Milton, Morgan County, Utah.

In addition there are: (1) a Farmer’s Pocket Ledger, containing mostly cooking recipes; (2) a workbook containing financial accounts, handwriting exercises, and copies of poetry; and (3) a copy of the 1913 printing of "Watkins Almanac, Home Doctor and Cookbook."

Two photographs have also been transferred to Photoarchives. One is of the daughters of Waldemar Nelson; the other is of his sons. The identifications have been made by the donor.

Finally, there is a file containing Family Group Sheets of Waldemar T. Nelson.
