Scope and Contents
Materials contain histories of laundry quartermasters from World War II, as well as the memoir of Fay S. Parker. Discuss Parker's service in the U.S. Army during World War II. He discusses serving as a quartermaster with the mobile laundry units. The histories discuss the laundry unit’s responsibilities of cleaning uniforms and hospital bedding. Parker tells of being combat capable and effectively defending themselves on several occasions. Two audiocassettes of an interview with Parker are included, conducted by Don Norton. Dated 2001-2006.
