Materials contain a memoir of Arlo Ward regarding his service in the U.S. Army during World War II. It makes brief mention of Ward's combat experiences, including the Battle of the Bulge. Discusses heavy losses in his unit, being attacked by German planes and tanks, narrow escapes from death, and the importance of prayer. Also briefly discusses his post-war calling in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints with youth.
