The lore about Blacks from the mouths of Whites / Kristine Jesse, 1989
Scope and Contents
Kristine Jesse collected personal narratives of lore about black people from the perspective of white people. Included are stories of women being unnecessarily frightened by black men entering an elevator, stereotypes of black people, and childhood memories about racist comments. Project was written for an English 391 class taught at Brigham Young University during Fall semester 1989.
