Scope and Contents note
Cook collected pre-game rituals and traditions practiced by varsity players on the Brigham Young University football team. Included are traditions of listening to calm music and reading the game program, taping ankles and wrists in a specific way, and writing down mantras to help increase confidence. The project was written for an English 391 class taught at Brigham Young University in 1997.
