Birthmarks and moles, 1997
Scope and Contents note
Morgan collected information on moles and birthmarks and why they appear, and then asked people for their folk beliefs of why they appear. Included are the stories that the person got in a mud fight in heaven and didn't clean up all the way, that a birthmark is found on the first part of a baby to exit the womb, and the belief that birthmarks will appear if too many strawberries are eaten during pregnancy. The project was written for an English 392 class taught at Brigham Young University in 1997.
