Scope and Contents

Harmon collected information on the changing culture and practices of the midwife community and stories from midwives' experiences. Included are stories of a husband going in to insulin shock as he helped his wife have her baby, a midwife who had to deliver unexpected twins, and a midwife describing a traumatizing comment made to her by a doctor. The project was written for an English 391 class taught at Brigham Young University in 1997.
