Scope and Contents note

Folder contains press releases, hearings, correspondence, congressional records, newspaper clippings, and legislative bills from 1963 to 1964 that concern different aspects of the Dixie Project in Utah. The information provided includes moving one of the dam sites for the Dixie Project eight miles downstream on the Virgin River to Warner's Ridge because of unsuitable conditions for construction at the previous site, as well as integrating the Dixie Project into the Lower Colorado River Basin Project in the Western United States.
