Submitted by BYU student Donald Smuthwaite for his Winter 1977 English 392 class. About the Mormon practice of obtaining food storage, and peripatetic prophets and various stories and folktales relating to them. Contains a cover essay, autobiographical sketch, list of informants, and informant items. Items include the elevator stories, such as a disrubing date, in the Hotel Utah, A group, on the elevator, thousands ofd ollars, in the 127th branch, some guy, and then the prophet's warning stories, such as He Stomped Off, His Whole Talk, Hit Me and more.
