About how, despite modern advances in medicine, people still use traditional home remedies that may or may not be scientifically backed. Contains a cover essay, autobiographical sketch, list of informants, and informant items. Items include cures like hot whiskey and sugar, stuff and starve, an ice-cold sheet, wreath of garlic keeping a cold away, dead cats, and much more.
