Submitted by BYU student Bettie Mushikoff for her Fall 1973 English 391 class. About Bulgarian folklore, mainly superstitions, proverbs, superstitions and such collected from her Bulgarian father. Contains a cover essay, autobiographical sketch, informant abstract and informant items. Items include proverbs about everything from divorced women to eating and crows picking eyes and making your bed, superstitions include piercing children's ears to protect them from a curse, hanging laundry, construction and shadows, Customs like the first drink, funerals, illness, mourning, the bus and coffin and more.
