Scope and Contents
Submitted by BYU student George Ira Lowe for his Winter 1975 English 392 class. About the types of ghost story folklore in American Fork Utah, more specifically the American Fork Cemetery Virgin Mary statue and Bloody Mary stories. Contains a cover essay, autobiographical sketch, informant abstracts and informant's items. Items include pictures of the Virgin Mary statue in American Fork cemetery, the statue with rubies in her eyes, or bloody lighted eyes, the spirit of the dead person in the grave below the statue in Mary's statue, crying tears of blood, vandalism of the statue, circling the statue three times, her blue eyes, her pushing two boys around, and her appearing in dreams.
