Scope and Contents

Handwritten and signed letter dated 24 June 1915, and addressed to "Cher Ami." Binyon writes about a proposed visit to France, his opinion of "Kitchener's army, as the finest than has ever been," and his "drilling" with the army in the "hope to be allowed to guard a railway later on." Also included are two printed programs for a dinner given by the American Institute for Persian Art and Archaeology on 23 Jan. 1934 given in Binyon's honor. With the collection is a handwritten note stating, "High Barn Chalfont St. Peter Bucks," believed to have been written by Binyon.
