Scope and Contents note
This project is a collection of stories about trips to the principal's office for mischief in school. The analysis discusses how most of the stories specifically address trips to the principal, but they also discuss general rebellion during school. Explains the methodology of gathering the information, the demographics of the informants, and analyzes the folklore and how these stories are informally passed on, and notes the similar themes of rebellion, disruption, creativity, and punishment. Stories include the following: Ice machine, Haley's death, Ben's crime, rabbits, lockers, transcript, shirt tail, art teacher, hog tied, bus damage, and others. Collected by Rachel Hayes, Dr. Thursby's ENGL 356 class, Fall 2008.
