This project is a collection that studies Irish Americans and American tourists in Ireland. The analysis discusses self-perceptions of nationality and identity with Irish-Americans, as well as American's perceptions of Ireland. The collector comments on how many Irish-Americans continue to return to Ireland and maintain their Irish identity. Also notes stereotypes of American tourists in Ireland as being dumb, fake, or condescending. Includes 18 items from 3 informants. Collected by Carly Smith, Dr. Rudy's ENGL 391 class, Spring 2009.
