Scope and Contents note

This project is a collection of stories about a Brigham Young University (BYU) girls dormitory. The analysis claims that the BYU dormitory environment of freshman year creates a high context group, discusses the physical layout of the BYU dormitory, the communal bathrooms, the mandatory meal plans, and special rules about the opposite sex, as well as the influence of the Mormon church, noting specifically the requirement to attend church together. Also comments how this environment creates folklore and how folklore influences relationships. Includes a 10 item collection of girls' experiences in the BYU dorms. Collected by Elizabeth Lambert, Dr. Rudy's ENGL 392 class, Fall 2008.
