The lost gold mine of Thomas Rhoades / Mark Croshaw, 2008
Scope and Contents note
This project is a collection of stories and legends about a Spanish gold mine said to be found in the Uinta mountains in Utah. The analysis comments on how the Thomas Rhoades legend has grown out of Mormon experience and culture, as well as a combination of important historical figures and Mormon history. Items collected are based on interviews with two informants and three internet and newspaper articles. Collected by Mark Crowhaw, Dr. Rudy's ENGL 392 class, Fall 2008.
