The many legends of Brigham Young University / Andrea Scott, 2004
Scope and Contents note
This project is a collection of legends at Brigham Young University. The analysis comments on the unique culture at BYU, including religious beliefs and its label of being "a bubble" from the outside world. The collector discusses how the legends correspond to the basic functions of folklore. Items include supposed expulsions for honor code violation, curfew infractions, bulimic students, and others. Collected by Andrea Scott, Dr. Eliason's ENGL 391 class, Fall 2004.
