The stories of outsider musicians / Matt Beatty, 2006

 Item — Box: 348, Folder: 7
Identifier: FA 1 Item 4239

Scope and Contents note

This project looks at the folklore surrounding outsider musicians. An outsider is one who strays from the musical norm, away from mainstream music, and is one that favors more heartfelt, experimental music. Outsiders are also artists who keep their life shrouded in secret. The stories collected recount the lives and experiences of these outsiders that show the value of creativity, nonconformity, and love. Collected by Matt Beatty, Dr. Deirdre Paulsen's ENGL 391 class, Fall 2006.
