Scope and Contents note
This project contains recipes, stories and traditions from bi-cultural marriages. Analysis paper topics include: "Culture and Folklore," "Bi-Cultural Marriages," "Food Folklore," "Holiday and Seasonal Folklore," and "Folklore Decorations." This 30 item collection contains the following: Recipes - fondue, raclette, ableskievers, truffles, chocolate mousse, lemon tarts, salad dressing, carrot salad, pizza, shredded beef, quiche, caramel flan, almond torte, creme brule; Traditions - Christmas costumes, nutshell boats, gift giving, Christmas carp, "witch" burning, making whips, breaking dishes at wedding, lucky ash, French tapestries, ball game, and two songs. Also included in this collection are 6 color photographs. Collected by Emily Hope, Dr. Eric Eliason's ENGL 391 class, Winter 2008.
