Scope and Contents note
This project contains stories and photographs of 10 student interns at an orphanage in eastern Romania. Analysis paper topics include: "The Group," "Pre-Romania," "Living Arrangements," "Romanian Culture and History," "Day-to-day Life," "Trips," "The Branch," and "Research." This 19 item collection contains the following experiences: pressing grapes into wine, outhouses, cutting in lines, eating liver, Scala cultural center visit, children's folk dances, punched by an orphan, loving interactions with orphans, adverse health conditions, crossing the street in Budapest, lodgings at the Black Sea, and a Romanian Sacrament Meeting. Collected by Sheri Money, Deirdre Paulsen's ENGL 391 class, Winter 2008.
