Snap, crackle, pop! : an exploration of personal injury folklore / Kirstin Marler, 2006 November 21
Scope and Contents note
Marler discovered that sharing personal injury stories gives the sharers a sense of pride and validation, while bringing them closer together. She explores how gender affects one's amount of personal injury. Males tend to have more injuries partly because of their nature and partly from society's expectations for them. Created by Kirstin Marler while enrolled in Jill Terry Rudy's English 391 class during fall semester of 2006 at Brigham Young University.
