Deena Justice is a native of Orem, Utah. She was raised on a fruit farm. Her house is built on part of the orchard where she grew up. Her brother's backyard is behind her backyard.

Nancy Jagelka is a student in the Fruits of Their Labors Folklife Field School. She lives in Washington, D.C.
