The Wasatch Front shaken not stirred : what children know and don't know about earthquakes / Melissa Pond, 2005 November 30
Scope and Contents note
Pond examines the earthquake related knowledge of children, ages five to twelve years, from Sunset Elementary School in Provo, Utah. Through the replies given by these children, Pond discusses the effectiveness of current earthquake drilling as adequate preparation for children should a real earthquake occur. In addition, a brief background on the particular earthquake danger of Utah residents, as predicted by a United States Geological Survey of the Wasatch fault is discussed. Created by Melissa Pond while enrolled in Jill Rudy's English 391 course during fall semester of 2005.
